A common adage that is known by many. However, I've heard people argue that “education is a scam” but I beg to differ from this mob mentality.
I believe that once you complete primary and secondary school and get an opportunity to join campus, you get to see the importance of everything you learnt back then. It made us have a common level of understanding in various topics. Of course there were some of us who didn't shine in some topics like math😂 but it brought a sense of unity and identity with each other because we can say we once did this and that subject in our distinct lifetimes. Most importantly, the subjects we learnt way back are the foundations of the courses we pursue in campus meaning, if you pursue medicine you must have loved biology.
What do you think?
I believe education is a lifelong process that never ends till you die. You learn something new everyday. Be it formal or informal education. From my perspective, school(education) is equally important to life as food. It prepares you tackle the world through a learned and civilised approach. Being uneducated is a disadvantage since it makes you ignorant and open to manipulation by society.
Level of education shouldn't dictate social status. There's a lot more to a person than his/her papers
From my point of view education is Paramount for intellectual growth....
On my side I feel knowledge is much applicable... Informal education practiced by our forefathers instilled great ( wisdom ) knowledge some we've acquired from our predecessors.
Formal education was brought by missioners who wanted us to learn how to read and write the word of God.
Later the white man used it to colonize and set classes in the society.
Today your social status is highly determined by your level of education which I highly contradict with.
I have tried so hard to build a reading culture but i just cant seem to hack it, but i love reading. I guess its a reading discipline problem, i start a book, i dont finish it.
i agree with most of the statement. However I believe knowledge is broad and does not only entail the traditional school work.
Campus is also a very important step in life. I think even if some people might drop out them being there is not a waste. I think campus launches you into adulthood.
And i was terrible at math🤓😭
